Psychotherapy and counselling can help you get unstuck and heal painful dynamics within yourself and your relationships.
Are you feeling low, depressed or anxious? Disconnected from yourself or those around you?
Life can be overwhelming and it can feel like an impossible task to unravel the knots that your head and past have created.
Counselling and psychotherapy can help you to begin the process of finding your way through.
Are you struggling with addiction? Addiction is a coping mechanism to be able to handle the traumatic stress and pain from past and present experiences. We can get emotionally triggered by events and then get stuck in painful states that are too overwhelming to handle. People often use substances like food, alcohol, drugs, or use self-harming and obsessive-behaviours to make this emotional pain bearable. I use Somatic Therapy to balance the nervous system and through this, relieve the necessity for using substances to cope with pain. In addition to this and regular person-centred counselling, I use Brainspotting techniques to release emotional core trauma material that is stored in the body, which allows for these traumas to get processed.
The definition of “Attune”, according to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, is “to make aware, and to bring into harmony”. This concept is central to therapy at Attuned Counselling.
